And Minority Report had a big effect on me as a kid. I don't like Tom Cruise either but this was a wonderful movie.

Dick's The Minority Report and We Can Remember It for You Wholesale had much more coherent stories that the movies. Minority Report and Total Recall could be better described as having Dickian elements rather than being a Dickian movie. These Dickian elements just served a very pedestrian action-movie story.
I feel that the best adaptations have been Blade Runner, Paycheck and A Scanner Darkly.
