Gah, this movie. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry. It's sheer beauty.

I was obsessed with Cosmos as a kid. Carl Sagan's unabashed romance with the universe struck a chord in me; every episode was like poetry.

I have a handful of people who I can say are the heroes who have inspired me the most in life. Included are: Jim Henson, John Lennon, Woody Allen, and Carl Sagan. They are right up there with those who have constantly inspired me and entertained me and made life worth living. Sagan is probably the person who is the best of both worlds: hard-core science and reason combined with a poetic sensibility that makes one think and wonder about the universe and our place within it. I recommend any of his books to our readers. And if you haven't watched COSMOS recently, watch it again with your kids and talk about it after. Absolutely worth the investment of your time - the greatest thing in life we have to spend.... -XIM
