Remember Grindhouse? You know, that glorious three or so hours that was one hell of an evening at the movies? I do, and fondly. I saw the whole thing twice during its theatrical run, and would gladly have done so twice again had I the time. Sadly, I was one of a small group of individuals who felt the same, as it didn't do as well as the Weinstein

Great, so this means I have to go download an illegal copy of the film off the internet in order to get the real thing? Bah.

I know! Of course, there's always the eventual 10th anniversary release, which would most likely be trumpheted as Grindhouse as restored to its cinematic glory.

Either way, I'm still kicking myself for not clearing time to see Grindhouse one last time...

Tell me about it... I pre-ordered the Blade Runner restoration, even though I shouldn't have had to...

I like dealing directly with film makers much more that pseudo-indie companies that make dumb decisions.

This really sucks. Those fake trailers were as integral to the experience, imho, as the films themselves. It reminds me a lot of Chicago's annual Music Box Massacre, as they throw together some horror movies (some well-known and some obscure, some good to watch and some ... that I should have gone and gotten food during) with a lot of bad, old trailers. I love the trailers the most.

I don't think this idea of theirs is going to make it any more marketable.
