I do too!! Although I can't play it very much at a time... it is a lot more "work" than the other professions I've tried, lol! It was really fun making the building. I bet there will be some adorable daycare buildings up for download soon!
When did running a Daycare become an option? For the most part, I can't stand toddlers in game, so I wouldn't do it regardless. I'm just curious because I had no idea they were in game.
I think it must have come with Generations... but I'm pretty sure you must have to have Ambitions too. On the phone, when you can pick a profession, "Daycare" is now one of the options. :)
It's really cute... you set up your house with lots of toys and such, of course... and at first you just get two toddlers dropped off at your house, then three... then four... and eventually I think you start to take care of child sims too. But while they are not playable, you can mouse over them and see what they need and take care of it. It's pretty fun, although I do that all day in real life so I don't think I'll be doing it much in the sims lol!
It was fun to create and design the building though. :) I bet some cute daycares will be available for download eventually.
I'm just curious.. do they roam about the house or do they stay in one specified room? In my game, toddlers tend to be all over my house. I couldn't imagine having to chase down 4 of them or whatever.
LOL whenever the parents drop them off, they are always hungry or not having fun, or otherwise upset... I think to make it a challenge or something! By the time they pick them up, though, they are usually much better lol. My sim has even taught some to potty train and talk while in her care! :D
