Yes, the game is buggy as hell... but it's still the most fun I think I've ever had playing it. :D I really like the Generations EP, I do have to say. And I went ahead and downloaded Twallan's mods, which help a LOT with the buggyness I'd been having. I'm still saving my game every five muntes and backing it up every half hour, but I'm starting ( Read more... )

WOW!
At first I was actually thinking the imaginary friend was kind of cute, but when they became teens it just went straight to plain creepy!! XD

It's good to know that the game never stops to surprise and amuse the players, tho! :P (even if in a very, very, creepy way ROFL)

Cute and creepy.

And this just BEGS to be added to the sims_anon prompt post (so ripe with naughtiness).

lol I know right?

Although I found out the adult (maybe even the teen and/or child) Imaginary Friend, once turned to human, has the self-interaction to change to Doll Form. Although, with my now-adult Rags and his wife, there are no romantic options when he is in doll form. So maybe the teen Friends can be romantic, but the adults cannot? Hmmm...

Although for a sims_anon post, I'm sure I could manipulate some things to make it um... appear... stuff is happening, should pictures be required. ^_^

OMG I need to post my gnome pictures!! I have baby gnomes, toddler gnomes, child gnomes, teen gnomes... it's so cute lol! And the Elder gnomes do die off eventually too, and leave tombstones. It's a riot!

OMG, that's creepy!

(That said, I can't wait until my loner Legacy founder has a kid so I can see this with my own eyes :D)

I guess not every new baby gets one!! I was surprised at that, since every baby born in Generation 2 of my family did (there were three) but now I've had the first baby of Generation 3 born, and that baby didn't get one, at least not yet.

From poking around on Mod the Sims (mostly to see if there was a buyable version of the Friend Doll) there is a mod that allows for a 100% chance of getting one (or 0% if you prefer) so apparently it's not already 100%. And you can't use buydebug to get one either; they aren't there. So it must be a pretty special thing to get one!

I'm kind of glad they all don't get one though... I'd feel compelled to make them all "real" and then I'd be over-run with former dolls lol. :P

I also love Twallan's mods, A LOT. I think better than Awesomemod, really. I am loving each EP for TS3 more and more. After Pets and Seasons (hoping!!) come out my head will probably explode.

Well, I ended up taking Twallan's mods out. :( There was still some definite buggyness going on. My pregnant sim had the baby, but still looked pregnant and couldn't do anything pregnant sims can't do (like plan outfit or skinny dipping), but she had the option to try for baby and there were no options to listen to her tummy or anything.

Also, there was something in the mailbox my sims couldn't get; they'd open the mailbox and then reset, and I'd get a little note from Twallan's mod that said there was an error. And then... what made me end up taking it out... was that one of my sims had romantic interactions available with his own daughter (only the one that had been born from trying for a baby in the Time Machine... but STILL) so I know something wasn't right.

I reported my bugs on Twallan's forums and I'm sure he will fix them eventually (I'm not the only one still having bugs) but in the meantime I think I'll just play without them and never have my sims leave their lot haha. And backup/save the game very frequently.
