Ambitions...

So, like the sheep I am, I ordered Sims 3: Ambitions and it should arrive today or tomorrow.  I'm actually excited about it, even though thus far I haven't been able to stand playing TS3 for more than 5 minutes at a time.  I think perhaps what I'm doing is trying to play it too much like TS2, and that's a big source of my disappointment.  I think ( Read more... )

I need to check out this Ambitions, thing. Not that I think it will draw me to sims3, but I like seeing new stuff for that game.

What are WW meetings like? Have you gone to them before? I have a such morbid curiousity for what that whole scene is like. It seems like it could be one of two extremes. Very helpful (where you get a bunch of sensible folks who just support one another) or a nutfest (with a whole group of "Woe is Fat Me" griping and bawling that the whole world is teaming up to make them eat cookies and pie).

lol :P Actually, the WW meetings pretty much all follow the same routine. You arrive 15 mins before the meeting start time to be weighed in. The leader takes you back to the scales, that are thoughtfully turned so only she can see the result, and then she writes it down in your booklet ( ... )

Sounds like WW can pretty much be whatever you want it to be then (low participation to going all in). If it helps you then it's a great tool. And it gets you out of the house, too. Nice bonus perk.

And no matter how diligent you are with food and exercise, you can always use some good luck. So, GOOD LUCK!

Woot!! Have you played WoW before? Keep Velen in mind for a realm... and look me up! :D

You're probably right about my oldest... she's 13, and I'm sure she could keep and eye on everyone for an hour or so, especially since my parents in law are right next door (and my husband, for that matter... since he's doing farming stuff.) On days when I'm just running to the meeting I can certainly have her help out when she's there for sure. :) It's those other days, when it's I'm-going-to-be-in-town-so-I-will-do-20-other-errands and I'll be gone for 4 or 5 hours that it will be a problem. :P

If you go on EU Dienaid, I'm on darkmoon faire there. I've both horde and alliance, currently spend most of my time leveling my blood elf warlock (Yeah 50!)

Good luck with Ambitions, I've never gotten past the basic game with 3. I keep trying it, try to find thingd to grab my interest, but fail big time :(

I'm wondering how would I be able to play on the EU servers? Just get an EU version of the game perhaps? I'm sure I'd have to have a 2nd account too... but wouldn't that be fun? I wonder what the latency would be like though... D:

I hope Ambitions is fun, but I won't be surprised if I lose interest lol... isn't that terrible? Well, at least the kids will enjoy playing it even if I don't, so it wouldn't be a complete waste. Still, I hope I enjoy it!

You should be, when James first downloaded the game and all that, he logged onto the wrong server and created an account on the US one. If we paid for it and everything, I'd be able to access it, but it is a seperate account.

Would be so cool, but time delays...ugh!
