My boyfriend wants one. We went shopping at two Apple retailers last night: One said it would take a month for the new iMacs to arrive, the other said they'd have 'em in store Tuesday or Wednesday. We shall see. Either way, I successfully converted my boyfriend to ditch his PC and go Mac :-)
Yes, I ordered from the online education store. It got me $100 off. I upgraded the ram to 1x1gig stick, and upped the video ram to 256. I can't wait. My sister has a Rev. B iMac G5 and a G4 iBook. Her G5 is a nice machine. I converted her to Mac. Justin is the one who convinced me to go with my first Mac, my Powerbook. He doesn't even have a Mac. Then, we bought his mom and sister a Mac mini for Christmas this year. It's way too cute.

Since you just ordered one, I have a question about Airport, which you may be able to answer. Will you have instant access to a wireless network (Airport Extreme base station) with your new iMac? I believe the new iMacs come with an Airport card already installed, but want to make sure.
I don't have an Airport Extreme base station, but I do have a Netgear wireless router because Justin and I both have laptops. Yes, the new iMacs do come with the Airport card, and I'm anxious myself to see how the range is. If it's good, I may not hardwire it to the router. Right now it says the estimated ship date it Jan 24th. I'm hoping it's much sooner. I'll let you know as soon as it arrives.
