I don't mind getting emotionally ninjaed, but I know a lot of other people do. It really would be convenient if people who didn't want to spoil their stories just did that warning thing where you make the text the same color as the background :P
EXACTLY! Or even a simple TWBT (There Will Be Tears) would suffice. I admit that sometimes I kind of like the surprise of it and I will fully admit to writing something and not wanting to warn for something but it is just a crappy thing to do to random strangers. It has definitely put me off reading this one author, which sucks because she seems to be pretty talented.
It's a Blaine/Kurt fic, which oddly enough I don't normally read at all but was recced on Tumblr and I thought "Eh, I'll give it a chance." And of course now I can't find it, cause that is the way that Tumblr works (I have too many people on my flist). It was about Kurt dying in a car wreck though and Blaine's life after. KILL ME NOW.
I know, right? I mean I am just hormonal so it sucked but I'll move on, but what if someone is going through death issues in general and then just POW, fic to break you. Fandom is supposed to be an escape not a trigger!
To be perfectly honest I have zero inspiration but I open 750words.com and just make myself write. Even if it's nonsense it feels good to get my fingers moving again. Plus I've gotten a few paragraphs that I might explore further at a different time, you know? It's nice.
I just tend to sit at the computer and stare at my keyboard. Nothing comes no matter how hard I try. It kind of sucks. I think part of the problem is that the fandoms I'm most active in right now (A-Team and Fast & Furious) don't really lend themselves to fluffy fic (aka what I tend to write). One day I will find a fluffy fandom again. lol
