Aww, I love that you wrote this scene! It broke my heart when Puck's nana was so disappointed but then I had to laugh at how offended she got when Kurt hadn't said yes.

I've read all your DIWWCF chapters and I should have commented before (b/c Caroline shouldn't be the only one who has to suffer through my rambly comments). I love the looks into their future, all the domestic goodness and their adorable baby and Puck still wanting sex all the time. :)

Of course, you realize that now I'm going to have to go back and read the proposal chapter and then probably end up reading the whole thing.

Aww, thank you. I am really happy that this crazy little verse that started as a single story and then morphed into a huge epic story that I share lovingly with carolinecrane. The future fic is totally me indulging myself so I am really happy people like it! ♥

I reread the proposal chapter while writing this, so I highly rec it. I love the vacation in Lima, mostly because I got to enjoy reading the process as Caroline wrote it, you know?

As for Nana's response it is very much family and friends families, I'm relieved it came off at all right!

And this wasn't sufferable at all, it was quite enjoyable. :)

Fiddler style, yo.

LOL 4EVER.

Thank you so much for writing this! You know how scared I am of Nana whatever-her-last-name-is, and I really wanted to see your perspective on that particular scene. It was a lot of fun to see it as an observer instead of being the one doing the writing.

And I especially love how, once the Rabbi gives his blessing, she's all, "What, he thinks he's too good for you?" That's right, Nana. No one's too good for your boy.

That MIGHT have been my codeine kicking in. ;)

I think I'm building Nana in my head into something that will probably be hugely disappointing if they ever approach her in canon. (Ain't that always the case?) Maybe it's the fact that I've been surrounded by every single type of stereotypical Jewish older lady that I kind of hold her too close to me, you know?

And that line comes from my mom's response to a crush I had for too long. She was VERY disapproving of it and yet when I said it didn't matter he would never look my way she said, "What kind of jerk thinks he's too good for you?" In my case, my mom was right. He was a jerk. Nana will love Kurt, who wouldn't? ;)

Thank you again for putting up with my "OMG WHY CAN'T I DO THIS?" flailing and ranting.

Perfect, as always. I'm glad that this portrayal of Nana Puckerman is more 'human' than usual. Five stars for you. xxx

*blush* Thanks. She is seriously my dorky love totally not canon character so I'm glad that I can portray her as human!

::collectsself::

OK. Liz, this was amazing! I love how you wrote Nana, her distress and her being abashed after her conversation with Rabbi Lippe (who totally rocks, BTW!)Her love for Noah shining through as comes to terms with the situation.

For the first time in a really long time he closed his eyes and just prayed Perfect!

So, so good. Thank you!

You have NO IDEA how glad I am that you liked it. Seriously, I really really wanted it to come off well because your encouragement has been so helpful for not only myself but for Caroline and I was petrified I would like... suck, and then I got writer's block and ... oh kay. Rambling. But yes. SO SO SO SO GLAD you liked it.

And the Rabbi is such an amalgam of all my Rabbis and teachers that I feel kind of like I ripped them off, but mostly I wanted to point out that there are a LOT of Rabbis who ... think, you know?

So you're welcome but THANK YOU!!!

Yesterday was like, this trifecta of all my favorite Puckurt writers posting at once for optimum Awesome. My brain exploded. c:

I really can't explain how much I enjoyed this, especially the bit about the Talmud. I feel like with any religion, one of the most misinterpreted things about the holy books is that people essentially forget that they were written by man, not by God. So. That really meant a lot.

Also this:

“What have I done to deserve this?”

“Nana,” he felt his eyes go round. He saw his mother in the concerned corners of her lips.

I could see the expression and it made me laugh. And that last line is such a great descriptor! *u* Yum-yum, writing! I'm so glad this scene was written!

Lovely, as always!!

Religion is one of my favorite things to read about (weird, I know. It's one of those things that shouldn't be talked about, right?) But I've taken enough classes through my college and my Synagogue and just randomly that I am fascinated by it. My Women in Judaism class is the one that really inspired that exact speech, because Judaism is known to be full of questions. Ask two Jews a question, we'll have three answers. ;) And yeah, the Talmud is our holy book but we don't think of it as the word of Gd but the words interpretation. It's sad but it's true. People who take it so literal make me sad.

And thank you so much. You really have no idea how much these replies mean to me. ♥

Oooh no, I feel you! :D Religion is a fascinating subject, imho, especially the Abrahamic faiths. I hate that it's a part of the, what? top three ~forbidden topics for the dinner table next to sex and politics... which is ridiculous because those are the most interesting things to talk about over spaghetti! Well, you know, when people can be civil about them.

And without sounding any more woobie than I already do, it's just nice to see a person in that position (Rabbi Lippe), in a faith, make that statement. In this fandom. So. Yes.

*woobwoob.*
