Another hard one, but funnily after three days of thinking about it it feels kind of easy to answer?
I absolutely adore Nick Hornby, and after widdling it down in my head I am going to have to go with Fever Pitch as my favorite. (Close close second HIgh Fidelity. Top five. ;)) There is just something about the story that I can't help but love. Having not really stumbled into sports ... or been dragged into more like... until I was a little older I am still half blind when it comes to some of the things he describes with ease. (Granted this did not help my pain through last season, Diamondbacks. Ouch) It gives me the bonus of insight but also as a foundation of sorts for my path to sports love, you know?
Also, having not seen the Colin Firth version (how is that possible?), Timm and I have a special connection with the Jimmy Fallon/Drew Barrymore version from 2005. Not that the movie should matter, but whatever.
