Summary: Based on an interview where David Archuleta admitted that he almost didn't try out for AI due to his summer job at a theater. In this verse he didn't. A few years later, while attending BYU and working at a theater off campus, David meets American Idolwinner David Cook and everything changes.
Author's Notes: I am going to put a bit more detailed beta thank you at the end but initially I just want to thank mausi, rajkumari905 and bloodbelieve for being awesome and putting up with me. I am lucky and thankful for all three of you. ♥ That being said, I never actually thought when I started this about the outcome, like the fact that I would get art. I thought of it as a challenge just to see if I could write another long fic like Hurt and Heart, and then got gifted with ciudad as my artist. I was so very fortunate there, crazy fortunate. So I want to just take this space and say thank you, so so so so much. Especially when you take into consideration her life being crazy lately.
