I have decided to bite the bullet and get a Macbook Pro. I have been debating back and forth about just getting another Macbook or going back to a PC or sucking it up and spending the 800 to get my Graham fixed but then I realized that I am (hopefully) going to go out in the real world and get a real world job and I would like to be able to use it ( Read more... )

I don't know yet! I should name it, but I think I will have to have it in my hands to do so. Because it is a Pro I am thinking something dignified though ... like Edward or Preston or Spencer. ;) I am excited too! Next week, YEE!

Everyone knows that Edward is a vampire name, Liz, and vampires sparkle in the sun, which could be very pretty.

But, I vote Spencer.

Mine is a Pro, though not one of the shiny new ones. It's about two years old.

I will say BACK UP. Someone at the Mac store told me that it's just a fact of life that the hard drive will crap out on you sometime after a year and a half. Mine did, right on schedule. Also be forewarned that everyone I know who has a Pro eventually had the battery life give out after a couple years. The life of mine is about twenty or thirty minutes now (it works fine when plugged in, it just doesn't last long when it's not). Someone suggested this might be because it's actually not good for your battery to keep it plugged in at all times - if it's charged and off, it doesn't need the plug. I don't know if that's true, just throwing it out there.

All that aside, I love iGor. It is my baby and I will never go back to PC.

I am getting the new one with the 8 hour battery life that should last 3 yeas? I have been drooling over it for like... a month. And then my computer went boom and I was like... should I just do it? I think I will And hten I don't know. It isn't in the store yet though so I still have time to think it over. Probably in the next week. I love my Macs, I will never ever go PC again. I am a Mac girl ALLL the way.

I have a 1 TB Time Machine which is the best thing ever. I back up like crazy because I had the worst experience ever a few years ago so I am kind of anal retentive.

I love you like... um. Crazy. And I will have to come up with a name, but it will never beat iGor. Damn.
