Oh, I love this so much. You really capture the essence of each year and the tone sounds so appropriate for the age. Does that make sense?

And I love this bit: Good thing James and Peter sleep like the dead." The two of them produced loud snores right then as if to emphasize his point, and he and Remus shared a giggle. LOL

and this:
Sirius saw it going pear-shaped as if from a distance, but the whole situation seemed to have taken on a life of its own.

The whole incident with Bellatrix was hilarious (I heart McGonagall)

and this was sweet: Sirius sat next to Remus' bed and took a good, long look at him. It wasn't often he had the chance to just...look, and he didn't want to examine too closely why he felt the need to do that so often these days.

And your take on Padfoot was perfect. You must be a dog person. My dog is like that. He know's what he is supposed to do, but be gets so excited he just can't help himself.

Year Six just made me smile like an idiot, especially this: "You can't pretend you're something you're not, Sirius
