I just wrote, then deleted a whiny post about poor, poor pitiful me. You don't want to hear that. I don't want to hear that. I'll talk about TV instead.
Thank you, dahlink. ;-) I am a sucky single mom, let me tell you. Hey, Lucy VanPelt is no slouch in the bitch department, but did you see 24 season 5? Kim Bauer was quite the bitch in that scene in my mood icon. :-) If not - you must rent. Best. Season. Ever.
BTW, I am not sending you any of the story yet because I am tweaking, of course. May need to chat with you about it - I'll look for you later.
I just finished watching Houses of the Holy and one thing I really, really liked is the hint that yes, there is 'good' or "God" to balance the evil. All too often shows like Supernatural and BtVS play up demons without acknowledging a higher force (and I don't count Angel's TPTB as a higher force for good - they're far too shady for that. *g*) And JA plays the angst so damned well. The hint of a tear in JP's eye really made me want to hug the woobie, too. :)
Thanks, sweetie. And I wholeheartedly agree on all counts. Yes, The Powers That Like to Screw With You were just that, ((Fred)), and I like a show that has the balance of good vs. evil. Not only because it aligns with my personal beliefs, but it just makes things a lot more interesting, dramatically speaking.
Did you ever see the show "Miracles" with Skeet Ulrich? It was short lived, but is rentable. You might enjoy it.
And Jensen Ackles is a fine actor, despite being so damn beautiful. :-)
I never saw 'Miracles' for some reason that escapes me now, but I know it didn't last long. Maybe at some point I'll renew my Netflix account and rent it.
Quite tired of the Lee/Dee/Sam/Starbuck storyline too. I would have actually liked it if Lee and Kara actually got together this episode, but no, it's going backwards again...
As for Supernatural, Jensen Ackles just angsts so well, and so prettily! I loved the episode too, and my heart broke for Sam at how absolutely desperate he is to have some way of saving himself. Aww. Haven't watched the preview, but everyone seems quite excited about it, it'll be hard not to get spoiled for the next week!
I really don't see what BSG meant to accomplish with that love quadrangle - I just don't see any progression of the characters, now that we're back to where we started again. Are we supposed to buy that Lee actually loves Dualla? Because I certainly don't (not in that way at least).
And yes, poor Sam, who is so sure that he is doomed. This ought to get very interesting. ::hopes::

At least you have a cool bitchy icon. I just have Lucy Van Pelt.
