That was incredible.
I wish I could say something that even approached how I feel about it.

You remember that first time you went to the water park and stood on trembling, goose pimpled knees at the mouth of that ginormous water slide, your veins rushing with skittish energy, yet knowing it's too late to back out now, and then you hop onto the inner tube and shriek as you fly down the loop, half mad as a hatter and the other half already knowing you want to do it again and you're not even midway through yet?

Yeah, that's how I felt reading this. I don't know how to put it any other way. And I'm sorry, I know that doesn't really give you any true feedback nor legitimate justice to the masterpiece you just let me absorb, but I hope a feeling is better than nothing at all.

I don't know how you got all of that from one photograph, but thank you.

Thank you.

Wow, the paragraph you wrote, likening reading my story to the thrill of a ginormous water-slide was a joy to read. The fact that it was such an experience for you, I'm completely flattered and beyond happy. That was fantastic feedback. Thank you so much!

I was sent here by Promethia, who insisted that this was the greatest Doctor/River fic ever.

I think she was right.

It's so nice to hear that my story was worthy of recommendation (thank you, Promethia!). I am a bit overwhelmed - but joyfully so- by such praise. Doctor/River has some really amazing work out there by amazing authors. I'm flattered to even be considered in such company. Thank you very much for reading and leaving me such a lovely comment.

Oh I'll be back with more coherent praise, once I've managed the art of being coherent re. this story. Also I'm going to pimp it to the seven corners of LJ... tomorrow. (When I will have time.)

Also, this is the icon that I once mentioned that I one day hoped to get! (If you remember?) I tried my best to condense all my Doctor/River 'shipping into it, although there's a sad lack of water. But it's implied in 'time'.

(This is me rambling. Sorry. Fic still too awesome to get to grips with.)

I really appreciate that you're planning on recommending this to others! Thank you. I'm really thrilled that you like my story that much.

And you know, I had considered remarking on your icon at first but I seem to ALWAYS remark on your icons since you have so many really good ones. I was worried that you'd get annoyed with that. But I do really adore this icon. I love the color and the word choice and the scene choices. Beautiful!

This was beautiful. My favorite bit was how you related the Doctor's delight at not knowing why the waltz was named the waltz, then connected it to his delight with the mystery of River Song. She's his waltz, the dance he knows not why or what.

Beautiful. ♥

Thank you! I'm really glad you enjoyed my story. Also, the connections you drew between the waltz and the Doctor's relationship with River Song hadn't occurred to me before. I love it when readers help me see my own writing in a new light. I guess as writers, we do a lot of work on a subconscious level too. Thanks again for reading and leaving me such thoughtful feedback.
