I'm very happy that you liked this so much, especially since your story is one of those that got me thinking about River&Rory. Thank you for that. I'm glad that you liked how plot-driven it was and didn't feel that I need to describe their environment more. I've been told before that I need to be more visual, but in stories like this where the pacing needs to be relatively fast, I think that can clutter up things real quick. So I'm happy that you seem to agree.

And I'm just beyond pleased that you liked my characterization so much. I've been rewatching S5 with a good friend of mine, so it was nice to have the refresher for this story. It really helped when I was writing this.

No prob about the shout-out. Like I said, you and a few others really helped me start thinking about these two characters interacting. Thanks for that. I agree with you, I'd love to see some more River&Rory stories.

Thanks so much for your reply!

River+Rory, BFFs forever. I keep telling people.

Great story! It made me giggle and grimace and fit nicely into the Doctor Who narrative as a whole. Characterization was spot-on. And the bit about Amy idolizing River made me giggle, because, duh. XD

... I sincerely hope this is at least sort of coherent. I probably need more sleep before being on the internet.

Oooh, I really enjoyed this! I loved Rory suddenly going from being all nerves to being nurse-y and competent - that's a side of him we don't see nearly enough. Babbling River (snerk, no pun intended) was hilarious - the poor woman - but also must have been so hard for her! The timey-wimey-ness was also really well done. And the end! Too funny. :D

I'm so glad that you enjoyed this. I really liked having an opportunity to write competent!Rory. I also liked having an opportunity to write a nurse. I come from a family of nurses, so I'm always listening to them at the dinner table. However, because I'm American, I couldn't use a whole bunch of their terminology because I wasn't sure if it would be used the same in Britain. Oh well, it was still fun to write.

It was also really fun to write Babbling!River (she's say the next Doctor would love that, because he again has an atrocious love of puns). So often when I write River, I have to spend a lot of time figuring out how to make her say a lot without, um, saying a lot. She's all about censoring herself. So it was a little fun seeing what would happen if that was taken away. Though, like you kind of pointed out, I think that'd be one of her worst nightmares, because she could definitely do a lot of damage that way.

Thank you very much for your reply and kind words!
