What a happy Easter present for President Bush, discovering that not even the Pope is on his side. I'll be interested in seeing if there is any reaction from the White Castle House about this.

That headline change kind of reminds me of something I saw on Newsweek's site. They used to display covers of all the international editions. One time, every cover was about how much of a screw-up Iraq was turning into... Every cover except for the U.S. edition. That one was about Paris Hilton's drinking problem or something meaningless like that.

It was kind of funny in a horrible sort of way.

It's not a conspiracy - CNN (and other media outlets) is always changing their headlines to increase the number of clicks. The first headline makes it an "Iraq" article and everyone's sick of reading about Iraq. The second headline now makes it a "Pope" article about the "World" and now it's more appealing to the wandering mouse.

The headline change doesn't surprise me...the media have been shielding us from that sort of thing for years now.
