This is the second time I've seen this in two days. Why do I not know what it means?

4/4 is a standard Beat notation for Rhythm patterns. Dance Music is roughly and largely based on a 4/4 beat. To illustrate my definition think I will use a Bass Drum= Boom, and a Hi Hat= Tiss. So a 4/4 would sound like this: Boom-Tiss-Boom-Tiss-Boom-Tiss-Boom-Tiss
