I wondered if you'd get to the Black Isle, my granny came from there! Apparently it was also known as 'Och' (I think that's how you spell it.). Fantastic photos.

I was searching an accommodation near inverness and near a riding school ( for my daughter not for me ). I chose Fortrose and it was a good choice .
Thank you very much for the compliment.
'Och' :-) this isn't the word Cowley often says?

Yes, Scots use the word all the time. 'Och aye' translates as 'oh yes' . When referring to the Black Isle I think my family used the word 'Och' as a kind of short form or derivation from the word 'Avoch' which seems to be another name for the Black Isle, . I don't think it was an official name!

I have never heard it here - but that does not mean a lot.
The understanding is a bit difficult sometimes. :-) Learning english isn't easy in scotland.

It looks like it was lovely beach weather there. ..And it would be nice to wander around in the twilight. That's something we don't have.

Oh yum! The meringue dessert looks divine. :D

There is no twilight ? How does it work?
It's daylight and it's dark suddenly?
The food was fantastic all the time.
Thanks a lot

It takes 1 to 2 hours for the sun to set, depending on the season, and then it's just night, here.

Thanks. And we were lucky to see the dolphins. They aren't there every day.
