Super Comic City Day 1

Not such a great first day for Super Comic City. koramay, kastra and I got there pretty early, but the weather was horrible and we stood in the pouring rain for an hour waiting to get in. I think almost everyone got sopping wet. I know I was completely drenched. It didn't help that we had to wade through deep puddles of water in the parking lot. And then

I'm sorry about the foreign credit card thing! I've always used my Amazon.co.jp credit card. It's one of my treasures--I thought it was easy to get one, but apparently other people I know have been declined. O_o I guess bank transfers would work?

You're lucky that you have a Japanese credit card. I'm tempted to try to get a Citibank one or something, but I just don't want to put forth the effort. I do think I'll be able to use my bank account for the auction thing since I have Mizuho, and that's one of the banks they accept. I just have to wait a week for it to process.

Also, too bad about the June section, but I'm not horribly worried about it. I'll be back for Comiket in August, so if you aren't there, I'll shop for you in return! Do you know exactly when you'll be leaving and coming back?

Have you talked to fencer_X about Yahoo!J? I know she gets things from there all the time, but I have no idea how she does it.

No problem! I think I got most of what you wanted except for Surf Trip Age, which I accidentally forgot about. DX Maybe they'll be at KBooks or something.

I bought the tickets for summer and it looks like I'll be gone July 12th- August 24th. So I will be missing Summer Comiket. Might have to rely on you for that one!

And yes, fencer_x is here at the moment and has been assisting in my yahoo japan efforts. Unfortunately, she also doesn't have the required non-foreign credit card and has been using one of those proxy bidder things. I will conquer Yahoo Auctions!!!

Yeah, it wasn't so fun at the time but at least it wasn't freezing cold out, too. That would have been even worse. There's nothing I hate more than being cold and wet.

You're very welcome! I picked up a few xxxHolic books for you too and the Bibi one is amazing this time! Very pretty and angsty. It deals with the falling out of the window story arc, which is one of my favorites.

I feel your pain. I am having a day of not-such-greatness myself. Firstly, Boris Johnson wins the mayoral elections, then my internet doesn't work and I spent two bloody hours fixing it, then one of my cousins decides to have a conversation about her underage sex life very loudly in the next room, and now I am desperately trying to finish my beloved MF pr0n fic without anyone seeing what it is. Okay, so not so much pr0n fic as slightly dodgy snogging fic but you know what I mean.
