Time's ticking away

Hockey has taken over the Davis household in the past few weeks. My dad is staying mostly clear of the shouting and swearing coming from the living room on game nights, but he wanders through on occasion to see the score. Mom usually flops out sometime during the second period because she's a lameass who falls asleep at like 9PM every night. C'mon ( Read more... )

If I am at the boys' house (5 of them live there) for a wings game, I don't even have to WATCH the game anymore; I just listen to their yelling and know what happens and can run in when I hear "yeaaahh!!" to see the replay.

Now then, I wont give you too much crap over wings/canes, but I think you know where I stand. :P

Hahahahahaha if I'm not in a talkative mood, there are two things, typically, one can hear from me to help determine where the game's going:

If the opposing team scores a goal: "GODDAMMIT!"
If we score a goal: "FUCK/SHIT YEAH!!!"

If the Wings go against the Canes, we'll just have to agree not to talk about it. But if the Pens mop the ice with the Canes, know I'll be rooting for the Wings. They're a good team, with a good history.

Oh yes. I'll be able to wash clothes on my days off. They gave us packing lists that told us to basically plan for like a week and a half or two weeks' worth of clothes. Still, that takes up a lot of space.

Packing advice: roll up everything, rather than folding it. Shirts, pants, etc. Takes up way less space. I was able to do a two-week trip in Europe doing that, with essentially fourteen outfits, all my toiletries, etc. because I was only allowed that one suitcase. You can do it! Definitely in two suitcases, if not in one.
