Why I shouldn't be left to my own devices...

Nov 10, 2008 22:13

I set my microwave on fire.
Trying to melt crayons so I could do creative-type things with the melted wax.

It didn't work so well, obviously.

BUT I didn't set the smoke detector off!

And my microwave still works.

That is all.

i loled, unca, my stupid life, god save us from nikki's boredom, wait seriously?, wat, creativity, random, stupid, i'm an idiot

Glad I could help. :D I was hoping someone would get a good snicker out of it.

Not meaning to scare you but be careful with a damaged microwave. You don't want to be irradiating yourself every time you warm your coffee.

I'm not sure if it technically qualifies as damaged. It's just a little...ashy...right now.

things should not be melted in a microwave :P
Did the crayons themselves catch fire, or something else in the microwave?

The cardboard container I had them in might have been the culprit. I mean, it was of a cardboard similar to that in frozen dinners, I was operating on the idea that since THOSE don't catch fire every time you have one, this one shouldn't either!

It failed.

It was being used to make my room smell good at the time. :D I briefly considered it, but I was enjoying a new tart and didn't want to disturb it, y'see.
