Since my main bias, Kamiki Ryunosuke is turning 18 this Thursday (May 19th), I've decided to make a pimp post of him and all the relevant actresses he's been paired up with. Relevant, as in, those that have worked with him on more than one project AND shares a good, interesting or cute off-screen relationship with him ;)
Why this theme? Because in a few days, he's going to be LEGAL xD haha which means, hopefully he'll be getting more romantic or risky roles.
Since I don't want to make this an uber long pimp post, I'm cutting it in half and publishing the second part on his birthday. Also, there will be a poll in the second post so please vote on which couple is the the cutest and which pairing will most likely happen<3
Enjoy!
I. SuzuKami a.k.a "The Fairytale Couple"
Ohgo Suzuka first co-acted with Kamiki in the 2005 drama, "Aikurushii." She played as Amano Mira, the wheelchair-bound girl who refuses to go to school, prompting Mashiba Horo (Kamiki) to strike up a deal: If he answers all of her riddles right, she'll show herself to him and come to school.
Throughout the drama, It was implied and showed that Horo was the noble Prince on white horse
--and she, the beautiful Princess in the high tower.
Although some other girl stole his first on-screen kiss (It was real btw.. & ahem! By that girl in the middle of SuzuKami xD) His first love is and will always be Mira =)
Their second project came 2 years later with the 2007 film, "Into the Faraway Sky." Hiharu (Ohgo) is a weird girl who is always standing on top of a hill by herself. She wishes to see the UFO that "abducted" her father; which Ryosuke (Kamiki), promises to fulfill.
"I want to make Hiharu's dream come true-- If a miracle won't happen on its own, let's create one ourselves!"
Though it was never revealed if their characters ended up together, these two made it up with their overall cuteness onscreen.. and off<3
EDIT: Also, they were in the same drama called "Dr. Koto Shinryojo," (2003) though they had minor roles.
Oh, and did I mention she's in the same class as Kamiki? Horikoshi Gakuen 1-D, 2-D and now, 3-D ;)
II. RyuYa a.k.a "The Cougar Couple"
Kamiki first collaborated with Ueto Aya in the risky but comedic 2004 film, "Install." The story is about how a high school girl, Asako (Ueto), meets 10-year old Aoki (Kamiki) who offers her the job of watching over his sex chat site while he's at school.
EDIT: They actually worked together in an even earlier drama called "Namida wo Fuite," (2000) where Ueto played as his older sister xD
The only thing I can say is.. Aoki is one horny little kid:
Their relationship off-screen, though, is anything but sexual. They get along really well and give off a harmonious brother-sister vibes.
Their second collaboration together is a dubbing project: the 2007 animated film, "Piano no Mori." Ueto played the main character, Kai, with Kamiki playing as her rival, Shuuhei.
Look how tall he is now! While Aya-chan hasn't changed at all ^^;
Their off-screen relationship hasn't changed as well =D They're still as comfortable around each other as 3 years ago. It's not as relevant as the other two projects I've mentioned, but Ueto and Kamiki were in the 2005 period drama "Yoshitsune" too, though they were only minor characters
Still, they're a cute pair, ne? Either as siblings or as a cougar couple haha
See that girl on the right? Yeah, she's kinda important.
III. RyuKo a.k.a "The Power Couple"
My, oh my.. These two child actors has been called "prodigies" and "geniuses" by the media and the industry. Everyone knows their names and they have been in more than two projects together ^^; including "Piano no Mori" and the 2009 film, "20th Century Boys."
Fukuda Mayuko's first official project with Kamiki was the heartbreakingly sad 2007 film, "Little DJ." A story of a budding first love between Tamaki (Fukuda), a girl who got hospitalized from a car accident and Taro (Kamiki), a boy with a blood disease.
"...but how long can Taro keep spinning when time and illness are catching up?"
GAAH Darn it! I'm gonna cry again TT_TT If you haven't watched this movie yet, you are definitely missing out, buddy. The acting is stellar, the soundtrack is great, the cinematography is beautiful, and the cute..? Kills.
What attracts fans mostly to this pairing, though, is not their romantic movie scenes together.
These two are still sweet if not, sweeter on each other off-screen. There has always been this underlying suspicion among fans that Kamiki might've been, or still, harboring a crush on Fukuda ;)
Meringue Interview, anyone?
Magazine and TV Interviewers always noted Kamiki's nervous, shy and submissive personality around this talented actress. One of the interviewers even prompted Kamiki to ask Fukuda out on a date since they had the same answer for their "ideal Christmas date". She turned him down, though xD haha
Better luck next time, Kamiki!
To Be Continued...
Next up are The Adorable, The Classic, and The Bickering couples (^_^)v
So how was it? Comments are much appreciated!
