My main takeaway from Once Upon A Time so far: you know, if either Swan or the Queen were male, the show would be playing the UST angle to the hilt

Haha, I am about halfway through the first season! I was just kind of super grossed out by the fifth episode, because y halo thar dude who uses his abilities to screw people out of their money, places his money above all else, and has a bratty spoiled princess of a niece! What's your name? Meyer? OIC. Like, at least The Grand Sophy's super-gross greasy hook-nosed bookie who's trying to cheat dudes out of their money has the dubious excuse of having been written in the late 40s, when let's face it, you were doing pretty okay by the Jews if you weren't actively making lampshades out of them. :\ I will probably give it another go before too long, though, it does seem fun! That just kind of came as a slap, so I needed to take a break for awhile.

I would say this show is exactly WHY you should get back into fandom. Sounds like you are a veritable fount of plotbunnies ;-)
