I thought of your aggravation in this area when I was pursuing amazon.com's book section, and wanted to throw things upon finding that "natural foods" is apparently a metaphor for "YOU MUST CAN LOSE WEIGHTS".

How could you POSSIBLY want to eat natural foods UNLESS you wanted to lose weight? We all know that anyone whose diet isn't entirely comprised of cake and pie is Restricting Themselves as part of a Lifestyle Change.

It's not like they TASTE better or something! I would like to be healthier, because I'm not very healthy. But I can't even get into the frame of mind to seriously consider it, because there is so much fucked up stuff in my head about diets and losing weight. My step mom has been fighting this since I've known her, and it's so sad and unhealthy. I figure my soda addiction can't be THAT much worse, kwim?
