That's crazy that your friend's co-worker found her LJ! I'm so paranoid about my LJ. That's why I keep it completely friends' only and I don't tell anyone I know in real life about it. I try to keep my RL and my LJ separate. Since I've started using FaceBook and some of my LJ friends and I have added each other on FB, I've always gotten paranoid that someone might say something that either even just reveals that I have an LJ or, worse, references something that I said in my LJ that I don't want repeated in that public forum. lol.

How did they get around it being FO? Did they create a fake account and add her or something? You have me so paranoid! lol. I always check people's journals and make sure they created it a long time ago and have a lot of friends before I accept someone's request to add me. And, I usually only make new people through friending memes or when we cross paths in a mutual friend's journal. It freaks me out to think that someone can bypass those privacy measures.

I didn't mean to make you paranoid-sorry hon! It does freak me out too. I totally trust everyone I'm friends with on here too-I say just keep doing what we're doing and be careful, trust our gut, and trust our friends. <3

Aw, why wouldn't you be able to talk about work? It's not like you're giving away private info or anything, and here you're talking to friends, not just anyone. I wouldn't worry about it :) It does seem strange to me that you're friend got in trouble for it though :S Anyway, glad work is going well for you!

Ohh, if I knew there was another stocking meme out there I wouldn't have hosted mine! :P That's cool, though. I thought it was a good idea :)

Ugh! It really sucks when work places stalk their employees and dig into their personal stuff. The thing that's so stupid about it, is you could just as easily go to a dinner party with 20 other guests and say the exact same things--and what could they do about it? It's not even like any of us know that many details about where you work. Meh. I hate for you to feel like you can't vent about that kind of thing here when that's what it's for.

Sounds like you have lots of fun fandom things planned. Woot!
