I am shocked that the forgery of a US General on a document is not even being considered a crime WTF?

Creation says it's preparing a statement. Exactly how long does that take, considering they've know for quite some time about the situation?

I would definitely expect that forgery of an official government document has to be illegal, too.

Yeah, Creation, are you trying to beat LJ for taking too long to respond?

So, this guy dreamed up this elaborate fraud to... meet and hang out with celebrities? That's beyond pathetic. What a loser. I hope the FBI catches and prosecutes him.

Apologies, but I have to vent for a sec: I've HATED Creation since the '80s. They totally ruined actor cons, which used to be really fun, by turning them into a multi-million dollar business that exploits fans who just want to see their idols. Before, you used to buy an all-access weekend membership (for an affordable price, like under $75); now passes are exorbitantly expensive, or else you have to pay for everything a la carte, including getting a freaking autograph. It's disgusting. I would love it if it turned out Adam knew this guy was a fraud, and his whole big greedy monopoly came crashing down around his ears.

There are seriously better ways to get autographs, and it's really stupid to commit fraud when a billion people are videoing it.

I thought the con was really overpriced and poorly organized, and now this news. But if Creation are really the people who started the whole over-pricing thing? Now my already very low desire to ever attend another event of theirs is even lower.

I can assure you they're 100% to blame. Creation weren't too terrible when they started in the early '80s, but when Adam took over, everything went down the toilet. He made everyone bend over for the privilege of attending his cons, and now he's nickel and diming attendees for every stinking thing; I'm surprised he hasn't started charging a fee to ask a question during Q&As. And he's practically got a monopoly, too, which makes it all even worse. *stabbity-stab-stab*

Sorry. *deep breaths*

No, no, you are free to rant. I have mostly kept quiet on my complaints so as not to be seeming like I might be negative about the people who enjoy attending such cons, but I have huge problems with the way they are set up. I appreciate learning this information.
