Well, I think you know how much I love this based on my beta comments, but it bears repeating...I love this story. :) Awesome, terrific job - the concept rocks, the little differences between the real Sam and Dean and "our" version are awesome, and your writing is so rich and layered.

Awww, you are so sweet. And thank you again for betaing - I hope my last long email in response got through? - I found your comments to be really useful (even if the combo of you and allzugern made me kill one of my fave lines, oh well). That was exactly the sort of input I needed.

the little differences between the real Sam and Dean and "our" version are awesomeI'm so pleased I managed to convince you these are the real ones! (At least, for this story.) That's a huge part of the basic idea - that any text gets shifted away from the truth of the story that really happened during writing/editing/production. And how could a TV show, even if based on reality, accurately convey everything? Just by having actors and sets and so on, it would be innaccurate. And vice versa, if someone comes up with a story and then somehow that world springs into real existence on its own, it's my belief that it would fill in all the holes stories always have (not that I am arrogant enough to think my story doesn't also have holes, ha, it started out as ( ... )
