Read a Pros fic week!

Apr 05, 2020 23:50

It's been a few weeks now since our last Reading Room, and it seems a bit tumble-weed-y over here, so I think we should play a new game! Are you reading Pros fic? When was the last time you read any Pros fic? Wouldn't it be nice to read some now? *g* What about having a wee flurry of Pros fic rec (or review) posts this week to brighten things up ( Read more... )

challenges, reading right now, read

Oddly enough, I don't seem to have as much time for reading (probably because my husband is home.) But I promise to try to get around to it.

Eh, still working ... but fwiw this track always makes me think of Bodie (particularly Bodie in Ireland) for some reason (I honestly don't know quite why!). Sorry I don't know how to embed but let's have a go:

Your embed worked! Go you! *vbg*

And cool - I like it! Although... I was listening and trying to think of Bodie, and getting the lone-wolf thing a bit perhaps, and then my brain entirely flipped it around and fitted it into Doyle's story instead, as a "deserter" from the police when he was involved in the corruption case, cos the baduns would have thought he was deserting his colleagues by going aganst them, and... Isn't it funny how brains work!

That was kind of fun too - maybe we should have a music challenge/post at Safehouse, about what music makes us think of the lads in what ways..! If I posted, would you re-post this there so people can see and we get more Pros in our flists? (I know alot of people are over Pros, but some of us still aren't (and there's a few recent/returned fans just in the last few days too, and it might be cheering-up-ing! *g*)

Sure! No guarantee that the embed-thingy will work again, of course, as I only got it by luck this time. There isn't exactly a link to either Bodie or Doyle, or at least not one I can put my finger on, but I just seem to have got the track associated in my brain somehow (as you say, brains are odd things).

We're so, so lucky to have some outside space despite being in the middle of a city. Did I say I've put a bicycle on the roof? I have! *bg* (having made it stationary first, though *g* (the bicycle, I mean. The roof was already pretty stationary, fortunately))

Thank you as ever for the gentle boot up the backside!

I'm still (shamefully) indulging in re-reading Larton, and a teeny bit scared of how many other fics I have bookmarked. And attempting to write... least said soonest mended. *g*
