What a lovely, thoughtful post and using Minori's artwork was a bonus. And thank you for another good rec.

I miss not doing things under a banner Minori made - or seeing her Christmas Pros posts.

I've always liked this story because I think it does contain the spirit of Christmas - and is kind of heartwarming in its own way - but it's not twee, sentimental or fixated with abuse.

It's just Doyle trying to do the right thing by Bodie and making the same misjudgements and having the same doubts we all do from time to time.

And as this Christmas is overshadowed by both the loss of fans I had a chance to converse with and those I wasn't lucky enough to find, it seemed kind of fitting.

Thank you so much - I've been missing Meady so much the last few days. It's lovely to think of her pinning LC to the nearest wall and having a deep eye-to-eye conversation with the poor dear man - he wouldn't stand a chance *g*

And thank you for the artwork and the rec. Absolutely what I need, bless you.

Yeah, I've been thinking about MLM and Minori this month too. They were such active participants - I'm sure they'd have had plenty to contribute.

I could just imagine MLM doing that, and I'm hoping she would approve of my second rec when I put it up.

Missing and missed. It's not the same without them - which is a measure of their presence.
