The feeling that what the fandom is really lacking is a story about a handsome mercenary stumbling across an alien artefact throwing him into conflict with murderous robots led by a sadistic Hegemony enforcer requiring him to be rescued by a curly-haired hovercycle repairman and his unexpectedly-impressive closet full of assault rifles and culminating in hawt, nekkid, zero-grav grappling wish-fulfilment, the solving of a real-(off)world problem, and a very big explosion
