So...I logged in to Paperbackswap yesterday and there is a link entitled Stop The Fires - Save the BooksA used book store owner has tons of books that he hasn't been able to sell or give away...so he wants to burn them

I signed but skipped over the donation bit. Considering that they charge extra for the delivery confirm print out which is free via usps, I think they get more than enough money from their members.

I was pretty surprised by that article as my book sales have been going pretty well the last few months (just opened my store in January). I'm sure it was basically just a publicity stunt to get free advertising for his store. :(

Yeah, that's what it makes me think too. You can't tell me someone didn't want the books he had. But I guess it's a good way to get rid of them in mass.
