Ah, I can definitely empathise. Last year my parents did nothing but compare me with my friends, and insisting I should be more like them. And when they found out my trial exam results, all they did was tell me to start changing my uni course preferences to something I could get into easier. I know that my first preference was set pretty high (Medicine), but they made it sound like they'd given up their hopes for me and my chances of getting into uni. Needless to say, I was pretty damn pissed at the time.
