Métamorphose -- HPfic, Tom Riddle, PG

My Second HP Genficathon entry is written! *cheers self*

This is, quite literally, my first attempt at writing Riddle fanfiction. I hope it wasn't too disastrous. I was kind of terrified to write it, initially. Riddle's interested me since HPB, but I didn't have the confidence to write him until I received s8219's prompt:

TMR after killing Hephzibah ( Read more... )

Wow, Churri, that's great! I like how you absolutely captured Tom Riddle as a madman and his descent into Voldemort. Brilliant!! :D

Glad you liked it. I was terrified that I'd screw up his voice; I don't usually write from the perspective of characters as off his rocker as he is. (Once I got into it, though, I think I might've had too much fun...)

Oh, that was wonderful ::snuggles TMR:: I loved that he only got into the LV groove once there was a sort of proof that he was him. It's prolly bad I got such a kick out of the 'not murdering anyone else...' and 'well, the poison did kill her rather soon...' bits. So LV, justifying his actions.

Much thanks. Again, wonderful story.

(Sorry that my reply to you's so late!)

I'm so glad you liked this -- also, thanks for giving me a chance to break out of my normal fanfic mindset, and the confidence to write TMR.

I think this story is fantastic. I wondered where you were going with it at first, and then when I realised, I wasn't sure if anyone could carry it off, but you certainly managed it! I especially love the closing image of him embracing his new self.

Your insight into Riddle's mind is interesting - I liked his thoughts about which poison to give Hepzibah. And I love the part where you begin to blur the two personas: "Tom Riddle - Lord Voldemort - believed in always having a purpose for what he did."

Very accomplished writing!

Um, I actually popped in here to tell you that your Gen Ficathon story is up on my LJ. I'm so sorry it's late - I've been moving from the UK to Australia over the past few weeks! I hope you like it, anyway, and I really hope it's the kind of thing you had in mind when you made your request.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. (And having just read the Gen Ficathon story, I can tell you that it was absolutely gorgeous. Well worth the wait.)
