Sky!!

Oct 24, 2013 23:25

Anyway lately I've been really busy, and the worst is yet to come!
Exams!
But, I think I still have a voice to ... write (-"-;) and to say what's on my mind.
Anyway, today I wanted to write about a movie that I was force to watch.

Well, the story goes like this->

I have this friend who is not longer near, she's is... let's say in the same country but not in the same place, this is so unrelated, but anyway we only talk by chat, so in one of our chats, I recommended her a guy I knew she'll like, definetely, ha! This was after watching Kimi ni Todoke, so I told her to watch it, and surprisingly she did and fall for Miura, I hardly remember his name, and even though I like the way he looks, I think there's some sort of meh-s around his other works, since I couldn't finish any other.
Anyway she told me that she didn't dare to try to watch Koizora but loved his look, the blond hair. Which I didn't like in particular. I think pretty-face impressions don't last as long as I thought in me.
Moving forward because I'm still blabling, I told her than maybe I could give it a try for her, and after realizing that Gakky was on it, well that closed the deal.
That's it, so, today, Koizora's review. v(^o^)

Koizora

Movie: Sky of Love
Romaji: Koizora
Japanese: 恋空
Release Date: November 30, 2007
Runtime: 129 min.
Genre: Romance
Production Company: TBS, Toho

About the plot o(><;)(;><)o

Well let me tell you this, this is like a two-parts movie, the first really looks like a highschool movie and has a lot of out of the blue incidents (/_;) . And the second part which is so much slow-paced and much more predictable.
So, the first part surprised me and made me feel so many emotions, you feel so powerless as an spectator of Mika's life. Yes, Mika is Gakky's character and actually she is the main character in the story, I mean this story is told from Mika's point of view and experience. Which, if I could explain in one or two words would be 'rather misfortunate', is it?

Mika and Hiro!

Anyway, the plot is so twisted and fast during the first half that you feel like going to a unknown destination pretty soon. The last half, well let me tell you this, this end up like a Nino kind of movie. Yeap, I know that's a spoiler but if you read a review anywhere they'll tell you this is sad.
Basically this is about the first love, and how strong and perfect it can be felt. But is it real? Is it worth? Let's ask Mika.

Mostly it looks like if you loose/forget your cell you'll find your true love!

Let me tell you that after the middle of the movie I thought I have figure out the answer but the end made me have my doubts again. So that's a plus...not that big though.

Highschool almost last forever!

About the acting m(._.)m

I think despite every awful piece of experience Mika has to go through without reason, Gakky again shows us that she can play a very innocent and endering character. She is cute and so soft that in one moment I was almost at the verge of screaming at her 'stand for yourself girl!' (`O`) But don't worry, she never does. But I like Gakky being cute, she reminds me a little of the character from Smile, I don't remember her name. I Love Smile.

They look cute together

About Haruma, he's ok, I mean he's like a good looking guy that you eventually get to believe is in love, so I think he's OK. But at one point I get fed up with his kakkoii-ness. Just be a normal guy! (-"-;) And knowing his voice totally, totally spoils the first part, which I think is kind of cute. Kind.

Still together

About the other actors, I hardly remember them! You'll hate his ex... I really like the guy in college that approaches Mika in the second half, who is him? he's cute, at that part I was like I totally prefer umi(him)!
*unrelated*

Umi!

Ah, Karina is the big sister, I remembered her.

About the rest (^3^)/

Ha! I hardly remember the music, why is always like this? But the sceneries were so beautiful, even though I couldn't enjoy them so much, after one of the first scenes, I just got scared of open spaces!! (>_<)

Mika waiting and open spaces...

There's a lot of sky going on, and that's pretty obvious because of the title, but I'm not complaining the camera angles were really beautiful.( ^.^)

Sky going on

More

About my grades (~o~)

This feels short somehow, but I started to appreciate this better after a while, when I first finished I wasn't much satisfied. The beginning, and the end it's like the director, *yes I'm going to blame this on the director lol* is trying to trick us into thinking a possible outcome. The concept about Sky of Love is really tricky right? Oh and there is a foretelling at the beginning of their relationship I wanted to notice this because of my Literature classes. (^_-;)

Three out of five stars, I thought I may give it three and a half but I still can't justify that half, so I'll settle with 3.

First Love

I, of course, encouraged my friend to watch it, but if you are not a fan of neither of the main characters, then I'm not so sure if it's a right choice. There's a lot of tears involve and many unneeded happenings that just makes me anger to recall, but I think there's no major harm in giving it a try.

Yeap, tears

At the end I think my sense of discomfort overpowered the feeling of sadness.
But with a little of time I've come to appreciate at least the nice sceneries and overall the beauty and strength of the first love.

That's it.
