From me to ...

Aug 13, 2013 22:48

So, today I'm proactive hahahaha, anyway I want to accomplish reviewing one each day of this week, 'cause I've been lazy before and as a farewell to my freedom. So today, what I'm talking about? lol, I really didn't know, but while writing I'll see!!!

A reason....

So now, Kimi ni Todoke, waaa. It took me a while to give this a shot and watch it. Actually I'm kind of familiar to the anime, a while ago I started two animes at a time, so unusual in me lol, I remember they were Kimi ni Todoke and Kare Kano, *I'm not writing the whole title!!* Well, I watched both first episodes, and continued watching both, but near the third or fourth one KnT was harder to find and KK was more interesting. I ended up watching KK and even reading the manga, it was one of the excuses for starting reading manga. But leaving my path into Japanese market aside, I liked KnT even though it is sooo slow-paced, but I actually think it is one of its charms. It seems like a very silly situation makes all of the first part of the plot. And this girl is like very shy, a big time shy! ha But in some weird way I get to identify with her, 'cause I was that much of a shy when I was little, and it is awful!, so I always thought that it would have been nice to watch it when I was a child. Now I just find it cute but maybe many people may find it overdone and slow-paced. So I judge this in the light of this point of view, I like the anime plot, I like it to be slow-paced, I like the cuteness of the anime, the images, the pastel colours, and especially how weird the characters are! *Even though I haven't watched all of it!* (#^_^#)

A word....

So, to define this movie in one word, I'd totally used this word CUTE, this movie is cuteness, from the character's choice, to the landscapes, the scenarios, the music *even though I don't remember much of it* and the end, is just cute!

About the plot, well this one is faster if you compare it to the anime, lol, but as it was pointed out in some reviews I've read, you lose, like always, many of the basis and details when you have to compress a whole story into minutes. But I think it was able to transmit the essence of the story fairly faithfully.(*^.^*)

A character look....

Into the characters, well I find it so pleasant to recognize most of the characters as I remember them from the anime. The girls choice is great, they look exactly as I imagined them. Sawako, well I was dubious before watching her, 'cause to me she was Tachibana sensei, but in here she is Sawako! She has the scary look in the eyes but is fairly pretty. And the long hair, although most of the first half I was wondering if it was really hers... And finally Kazehaya, at the beginning I thought this guy didn't look anything like him. I love Kazehaya from the anime, and his smile. (^_^) But after seeing this guy, Haruma, this guy is just gorgeous!! No kidding, he may not resemble Kazehaya so much, but he has his smile, it's like he has the sweetest smile ever! *and he is not a Jhonnys* So this guy is awesome! He could have done nothing but just smile and this would look entertaining. *waa I pity myself, yes! * (><#) *looking into more Haruma 's work* (O.O;)*

Sawako as a child, when her problems as Sadako began
The first time they meet, cute picture

Someone's smile (^0^)/
And the name!

An unrelated anecdote....

So the story behind me recognizing him is funny 'cause I knew I've seen his smile somewhere before, I just couldn't remember!!! I try to look into my head where and finally I remembered from where! hehehe it was a VS Arashi, he had a different hair style but the smile was as charming as always... waa * I'm even watching that dorama he was promoting and he was in Gokusen 3, but I'm not going to watch that, that was over for me without Shin, sorry Haruma, and he also was in Last Cinderella, I tried to give it a shot and he has this weird hair, but once he pulls it in a ponytail he totally got me sighing, perfect!! I wanted to put him in a box and carry him everywhere, 'cause LC is definitely not my kind of dorama and it is painful to watch it! But summing up this diversion I find this guy highly attractive
( ^.^)( -.-)( _ _) Period*

In the middle of the night
Back to the place where they meet

The girls
Sawako being happy (>.<)

The girls again
The girls and this guy, who doesn't talk much but is cute

The girls bathroom scene
I like this scene, during a competition.. I don't remember..

A look into the other stuff....

So, getting back into the movie, the landscapes are so pretty, the sakura trees and the gym, that scene with the orange cone and the run, that was epic in the anime and it did not let me down in here. So cute, ok, I'll stop using that word. The camera's angles and how do they move are also pretty endearing and engaging in the story. And that is a thing I like! There were times when I almost thought I was watching the pastel colours lol!

This one was great in the anime and in here!
The orange cone! Epic hahaha

Cute, I like when the camera is up
Sitting together

They look cute together, but that's the whole point of the movie, so they should
If I'm not mistaken this coat was from the anime/manga and I love it! I like it to be fluffly

And finally the end, the end is cute, even though you see it coming and it is kind of silly when you're not longer a shy teenager, but looking at this with those eyes is pretty and it felt like a little bit of magic.

There is really not much purpose on these ones, but bear with me

Just enjoy!

I should check how the manga ends, if it ever ends...

So, my marks 4, actually this should be a 3 and a 1/2 but I'd love to watch this another time and giggle with it, that's why I'll give it a four. 'Cause he has that shyness and naivety of being so young and that perfect smile with the fingers slightly moving through his lips, like hiding.

Well basically 4 because it is the story of the shy shy girl that has the most good-looking guy looking for her and falling for her. To put it blunt the story of my life! (*^.^*) or how it should have been lol. *Thanks KnT for introducing such a fine specimen! Still feeling pity for myself! * (-_^)
