With the action-comedy on the bubble for a renewal, “Chuck” fans are staging themed flash mobs in at least four cities on Monday. In Chicago, Seattle, San Diego and Philadelphia, “Chuck” fans plan to gather while dressed in the show’s Buy More-style clothing (short-sleve work shirts, name tags and the like).

The idea is from “Chuck” fan site chucktv ( Read more... )

Maybe it's not too late to get some fans gathered for L.A.? OR, give it a round two and hit up four more cities.

I'm worried for the Philly one. Flash mob has taken on a very negative connotation here, and I really don't want to see fans getting arrested...

hmm well it may not be a bad thing if it ends up on the news and the show gets more publicity :-D

Wouldn't that be a bad thing, though? Getting publicity for being arrested?

So the plan is to do... what, exactly, while dressed like citizens of Buymoria? I live in SD and this is the first I've heard of this. I generally associate flash mobs with dance, but that's because those are the only ones I've seen. (Well, that and the one where that huge group in NY all stood stock still in Union Station for five minutes...)

Not to knock fans doing whatever they can to save the show! I just don't quite get what the plan would be in this case, or how exactly it would help the show.

That's the first I have heard of it. I am pretty sure it will backfire on them. I mean I follow chuck news and I missed tht. If people don't show up it will have the opposite effect of the one intended.
