I never understood why my way of dealing with pain and death is joking about it......for those of you who don't know, which is probably many of you, my grandfather is on the last leg of his life. His cancer is taking over his body, and the man that i have known as the indestructible person is now being killed from the inside

I'm so sorry to hear about that. It's terribly hard not to know what's going to happen or when--I hope that he's not in pain. My thoughts are with you and your family.

all i can say is, he's proud. because you're exactly right, it's just material possessions, and judging by what you've said, he probably would not care anyway. you're a good guy, and he's proud.

i will be coming up first week of fall break, weekend of October 15.
