Before I got sucked into the sparkly world of KAT-TUN and JE, I was into anime/manga. I was feeling all nostalgic talking about my otaku interests with
happy_anemone a little while back, so recently I re-watched Lovely Complex, which is one of my favorite series. I still love the 'All Hanshin & Kyojin' couple, but somehow the anime didn't have as much flare

and the Mighty-sensei gif x'D . I feel you Otani , I really do .
I'm kinda disappointed that a lot of shoujo animes aren't exactly like the manga, but I guess it's better than having no anime adaptation at all.
Thanks for sharing, I'll be stealing some, heheh :B

Ah Mighty-sensei, the stereotypical bishie. Sadly, RL fangirls are not too far from the Mighty fan club xDDD~
I watched the anime first and I loved it so much that I read the manga as well. It was only upon re-watching the anime that it seemed so much shorter in comparison. But it's definitely worth a watch just to hear the pair bickering with each other :D
No problem :) I'm glad there are other ppl that can enjoy these <333

Thank you so much! <3 <3 <3 Talking to you is a lot of fun, regardless of the topic. Be it about JE or otaku stuff, I always enjoy our conversations! :D
Love Com is a great shoujo series, definitely one of my favorites, too! Risa is such a hilarious heroine. Her expressions still haunt me till this day tbh and this just refreshed all my suppressed memories, haha. I’m absolutely in love with gif #11 and #16, they’re so creepy, just the way I like it. And the second gif totally reflects my daily attitude towards... pretty much everything, lol. Gosh, this makes me want to rewatch the anime as well. Even though it’s quite short compared to the manga, I still think it’s one of the better adapted anime series out there.
Umibozu strangely reminds me of Koki btw... I didn't just say that.

Risa's 'fish' face cracks me up to no end. I keep snickering when I look at the old man sneeze gif. Love Com is so great because Risa/Otani make a hilarious pair.
Hahaha, yeah #2 is pretty much what my existence is like and #3 is basically my fangirl reaction XD And well I figured everyone needs some creepy gifs in their life :B
I watched the anime first and loved it so much that it got me to read the manga. It just seems short in comparison watching it now after having read the manga, but I think overall the anime fleshed out the story very well and had a proper ending. It's more than worth watching just to hear them bicker with each other in Kansai.
IT'S TRUE especially during Koki's bouzu days. Badass on the outside but soft and fluffy on the inside, Koki's just a lot better looking ;D

I usually read the manga first before I watch the anime(if at all) and sometimes get disappointed with the result but the Lovely Complex anime was nevertheless enjoyable. It’s really well done and the opening/ending themes are nice, too. /cough Seriously, those who were were in charge of the songs must have been Johnny’s fangirls… Not that I’m complaining.
Koki should have totally played Umibozu in the life action movie, even though he only appeared for a few seconds. Perhaps it would have made the movie a bit more tolerable.

It's funny because I watched the anime way before I really knew anything about Johnny's. I do remember that I was sort of pissed when the opening/ending changed midway through to the HSJ songs. I had no idea at the time I would get into Tegomass later on.
LOL, I don't remember the live-action much just that it was very good and I wasn't too fond of the actress playing Risa. Teppei made a cute Otani though ^^
Often times manga don't seem to translate very well to live action in my opinion. Honey & Clover drama was a disappointment, and though I haven't read the manga, I didn't like the Zettai Kareshi drama very much. Though there are exceptions, I liked the Death Note movies and the Nodame live action a lot.
