Ever have a friend that you mean to call, but you never get around to it? That you mean to setup a lunch or casual visit, but you just never pull it together? And then next thing you know, years have gone by with nothing more than some Facebook posts

It's never easy, even if it's someone you've been closer to you. That doesn't make you a bad friend. Your friend was ill and didn't know a better way out.

I hope they have peace now.

Someone posted on her FB page, that she fooled 180 professional that she worked with everyday, that had been trained to detect and deal with these type of things. Intellectually I understand this... but still...

So I've been calling people that I don't get around to calling enough, the people it would hurt to lose. Checking in, and asking if they are okay.

I'm great. I honestly am. Things are good in life and I can't really complain. I know when people have a route in mind, they aren't going to put anybody in their way to stop it ...but I want to reassure you that I'm not on that route.

Well, right now everything tastes like ash and all the smiles I've managed since Sunday morning have been casual deceits that took far too much energy and will.

That aside I had been feeling hopeful before the weekend. I'd done some gardening. I've been growing a palm tree. I'm sure in a couple weeks the hopeful will come back.
