It's fantastic. For as funny as Smashing Pumpkins are (watch Vieuphoria, listen to any stage banter or read any transcripts) the band sure has attracted a lot of humorless fans.

Lighten up people! He shoots laser beams out of his eyes for fucks sake! And he smiles!

Serious angry SP fans get hurt and mopey when Billy smiles, grrrrr!

It's a great video. I do wish Billy would ditch the uncle fester/jail bird get up. Its like the Adore look...kinda gothic and it stuck till machina. Im a big fan, but Billy really needs to deflate his head a bit. I'm sure you've heard about the 4 different versions of the new Album, right. Each of the 4 will have a different bonus track or 2. Well, I work at target, so im buying that version and downloading the other bonus tracks :-).

All the different versions of the album would be the label's doing. I think it's shitty but there's no way Billy would have ever conceived of all these different versions of the albums, it's obvious it was the record company's idea.

And it's obvious a lot of people who care will be just downloading the extra tracks.

As far as the outfit, I thought it was retarded seeing them live in the getups, but here in the video it works because it's obviously being done on some tongue-in-cheek level. Just seeing him in the kimono and Jeff in his coneheads outfit with all of the extras struck me as really funny.

Also really nice to see Lisa figure so prominently in the footage - she's a great addition to the band and her backing vocals (Ginger's too) have been sweet as hell.
