I'll definitely look it up, thanks! I wondered if they hadn't been allowed to organize; no weekends, no religious days... I wonder if they even get sick days?
Ooh, thanks for the film recommendation! I hadn't heard of it before. =)
My whole life has been pretty "mobile" lately, but I haven't been writing enough about it. It's one of my present goals to be less mysterious and do more verbal blogging.
Hey Susan!!! You glew on my favorite aircraft ok the EK fleet!! I LOVE that plane! But we'll see if I like the A380's. Let us know what your January roster is like!! :)
There have been sandstorms here in Dubai for the last few days. It's like fog - you can hardly see. But the laborers toil on. Who thinks they should get a few hours off? *raises hand*
That's one of the things I *really* hate about the UAE.
How can you not? And think, by simply having a place to live that isn't shared with 26 other people, we're supporting it. Anybody know if there are champions for these people's rights?

South Asia has far too many poor people for that. Look up Thomas Malthus's theories if you ever get the time.
if ever a group needed to unionize, this is it
Precisely why they've not been allowed to.

Meanwhile, here's a song.
"I built a little empire out of
Some crazy garbage called the
'blood of the exploited working class.'
But they've overcome their shyness
Now they're calling me 'Your Highness'
and the world screams 'Kiss me, son of God!'"
