It's a "Speed Cubing Rubik's Cube." It comes with two little screws and a bottle of lube, so you can take it apart, wax the inside, and also adjust the tension on each of the six centers. It has springs in it, too (not sure if the regular Rubik's ones have springs?) so if you don't exactly line up a side before turning it, it won't fight with you.
It isn't as great as I thought it would be, but it only cost about $5 more and it is really comfortable. Don and I wanna order a couple of DIY cubes off rubiks.com next.
