Don accompanied me to Frankfurt on the 29th of March. He had never been to Germany before! We did other things besides eat, but I'm posting the food pictures first.
its funny a german once told me that no one actually "lives" in Frankfurt, to not spend any time there but move on to other towns.
did you see any Romanesca at the market? that stuff trips me out!
i brought my Mom a pretzel back from the Frankfurt airport. even though it was cold and stiff when she got it- she said it was the BEST thing i could have brought her. she even changed the paper bag it came in. ^__^
Oh, and you're right - Frankfurt is the most blah German city I've ever seen. I kept trying to tell Don, "the rest of the country isn't like this!" He got lucky, though - the day after I left, he returned to the same spot these pictures were taken, and there was a huge market with crowds, crazy foods, wine and beer tastings, and excitement. =)
They were gorgeous! The pineapples were a little squat and squarish (cute), the artichokes were closed (like they should be), the avocados were HUGE and soft, and everything was perfect.

They look suspiciously like regular fruit and veggies? Curiosity overwhelms me.
