I want to go there! What a gorgeous place... it reminds me a bit of Phuket, Thailand, though it seems like it might be more lush, even. So hey, when can we come visit you? =)

You can visit anytime. Any time.

I would really like to go to Phuket. I suspect it might be a close race for lushness. Definitely gorgeous, though.

I was supposed to go to nasty, wintery New York, and when I was just about to pack my suitcase, I called this number to check if the flight is on time (etc) and the disembodied voice told me I was going to Mauritius instead. It was rad.

Oh, how I would love to book a flight right now...

Phuket got hit pretty hard by the tsunami, so I wonder what it looks like now. I don't know how much of the island was natural and how much was landscaped/planned by the tourism industry, you know? In my mind, it will always be the image that is attached to the word 'paradise'.

You must have felt like you won the lottery when you heard where you were going! Woohoo!

I was pretty thrilled, even though it is the shortest layover we do - 13 hours. I definitely plan to go back, when I'm not exhausted from work. I didn't sleep enough while I was there, and the flights were strenuous, so when I got back to Dubai I slept for, like, 16 hours.

It was, especially the sea - the only ripples were from the jetskiers and kite surfers.
