hmmmmm. i seem to have circled today on my calendar and scribbled something on it. looks like 'happy something-or-other.' hum. happy what?

  1. happy atomic-bomb-dropped-on-hiroshima day? yes, indeed. the enola gay dropped the first atomic bomb today. on a hospital. while school girls were out on the streets clearing away the rubble in the event of an ( Read more... )

thank you muchly. *pines for cake*

(Er, so far 24 is being kind of similar. But this is only 3 weeks in, so I have high hopes for improvement, yes. I'm sure it'll get better. Soonish, like.)
*sigh* not terribly reassuring, is it? i will give it two months and then see if i hate it. if it turns out to be sour, i will declare the both of us a repeat of 22. and we shall go on being 22 until we get to a good year. what do you think?

thank you muchly. 24 should be a good number, i think. it's divisible by so many pleasing numbers. but nothing tops 22, the most perfectly balanced number ever. so make sure to enjoy the palindrome years and avoid the prime numbers if possible.

thank you muchly. you'll have to pardon my melancholy, but i've learned through experience that today will bring nothing but disappointment and misery. *sigh*

my co-workers sent me a bunch of daisies in a bright yellow bucket. while i appreciate the sentiment, do i strike you as a particularly daisy-ish person?

(the answer is no)

a tribute? thank you muchly! *is bashful*

is dancing very, very, very badly an acceptable substitute? i think that's about all i'm capable of.

but will be going to find only known source of kriek on the east coast tonight. and it will be good. and then perhaps i will dance badly and unashamedly in public . . . or not.

oddly, i've had joy division's transmission stuck in my head for the past week or so. have been singing it to myself in that odd sort of voice he uses. but i think that dancing around to the blippy spastic music from hail to the thief would be much more satisfying.

Anyway, ridicule is nothing to be scared of.
only when the people around you aren't a rabid mob with pitchforks and torches.

Happy happy etc.

I'm hoping to have a real internet connection one of these days. And maybe someday I'll find out where the post office is, so I can send you a birthday present. In the meantime, I think of you every time I see a sign advertising gelato.
