Well bust my legs and call me Shorty! Make Magazine's blog has a nice little write-up of the upcoming Futures of the Past interactive showcase. Ok, I shouldn't be so surprised since they're one of the sponsors, but still. Thanks to Mr. vonslatt for pointing this out.

I'm not going to SXSW this year, either. It's usually a good time, but don't fret, you're not missing an epochal cultural event. Damn, I would've liked to have seen your stuff exhibited, though. It's very cool that you were asked to contribute; SXSW is pretty damn competitive. But you're brilliant, so it makes sense and is only right. I do love the stuff on your portfolio site.

Hey, did you see Make Mag editor Mark Frauenfelder interviewed on The Colbert Report? It was so cute. He and Colbert were totally geeking out together. So much Colbert love, man. SO MUCH.

I've never been, actually. I just know it as that thing with the music and tech in Austin in March where all the cool kids go. Technically, I'm not in anything officially connected with the festival-it's its own party, you know?

Sadly, I have not the cable television. Still. Instead, I perform the dance of the Rabbit Ears every friday to get Numb3rs in and the odd PBS show. But I'll take your word for it on the Colbert love.

Interesting . . . I think I'm enamored of a slightly different time period though (my cut-off point tends to be the '20s and not much higher). Still quite lovely.
