Indeed. Almost.

Wow, we're really hittin' the magical words today, huh?

That is because we are magic!

Now where is my ice cream?

*waggles fingers prestidigeously*

Um, presto?

Prestidigeously is one of the best words ever.

Luckily I have ice cream like things in my freezer: one does not have a six year old child and not have frozen treats in the hot and humid Japanese summer.

Are you coming for Christmas? Turns out ferrelux has a mandatory vacation then.

Maggie and I are discussing it in depth, but with her quitting her job (a very recent development), we may not be able to. I just looked at plane tickets to Tokushima on Monday, trying to come up with a budget for the trip. Looks like a bit over $2000 for each of us, which isn't bad I suppose (the Tokushima leg seems to nearly double the price, though, as Tokyo is half as expensive to fly to), but, you know, stuff.

We also may have to be in Kansas at that time: a relative died, and I may be needed to help with the estate, which puts a serious crimp in the plans.

So, right now, we're doing our best. The best outcome is "hell yeah!" I'm still hoping to shout that instead of, "Oh, Yay: Kansas."

Well, one does not fly into Tokushima as it is like getting anally raped. One flys into KIX or NRT and takes a bus from KIX three hours to Tokushima or the Shinkansen from NRT to Kyoto and then the bus to Tokushima (the bus is $40 USD each way per person and the Shinkansen is $140 USD each way per person). Plus, I need to write you a check for $4,350 USD according to my math. ;D

My condolences on the loss. :(

Clearly: I just checked pricing from Tokyo to TKS. . . Man. Just. . . Wow. It's more expensive than flying across the friggin' ocean!

Well, checks are always accepted (as are things like PayPal, if you prefer). But I know you're good for it, so whenever. ;)

As for the loss, well, it was coming. I missed the memorial service (it was a few weeks ago), and so there's this knowledge that I've gotta get out there soon. If the family can manage Thanksgiving, we might do that instead. I just don't know.

Make sure you check on sidestep.com for any flight needs, they are what Travelocity used to be for finding deals and if you create an account you can check within a few days of the dates you enter.

Yeah, that amount would be up through mid-September (5 * 900 + 450 - 600 = check). I'm pretty sure PayPal would charge you a fee for that and I'd rather not pay a fee on top. :)

Whatever you do is what you have to do. I'm just hoping the house is in decent shape by the time rolls around just in case.

Well, as I am commenting from the future! (it is past 1 AM on the 17th here) I am going to bed. That and I have used just about every icon I have.

Have a nice rest of your day. Try to write me or something.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Yeah, I realized on my way to lunch that PayPal would totally charge a fee. Stupid PayPal. *shakes fist*

I was wondering if you were shooting for all icons or not :) I am very appreciative of your work in that direction!

However the house is, I'm sure that Maggie and I will be in awe of the awesomeness that is Mazi's house. After all, my journals from Greece prove your awesomeness.
