When I was little, there was a lot of construction going on near where I lived, and people would bring us turtles that were hurt or misplaced from all around. My basement was full of them, all different kinds; at one point we had up to 13 turtles living in my house! We had Rosie the longest -- and still do -- and she's about 80 in human years. The other two we had for the longest were Spotty (hehe) and Tigerlily, but those two managed to escape their outdoor pen so we figured it was time for them to go. Currently we have Franklin (a girl, my German neighbor named it), Montgomery (named for the road we rescued her from), and Rosie. In the past, we've had everything from Sorsha to Pancake. My brother named them in things that always ended in "-y", including Turtley. My other brother liked fluffier names -- Lily, Marigold, Sunny, Ducky.
Turtles are good times. And they have just made me late for class. XD
