dear god, I loved this. Ah, I'm guessing you are Canadian since here in Japan when ever I mention putting maple syrup in tea or coffee or on sausages or ham.... well any thing other than pancakes I get laughed at, not just by the Japanese, but by the American's, English, and Aussies.

I understand about the maple shortage, in Japan I can get maple syrup, but it's sooooo expensive that I do kind of ration it. Thank goodness for maple cookies.
